Normark recently completed the landscaping for this courtyard. By looking at the before and after it’s hard to believe it’s the same space with the after shot looking so much larger!

The owners of this courtyard wanted to make it a more inviting and useable space for entertaining. Previously it had stencilled concrete pavement and was tired and in need of a makeover.

Blake from Normark said “We proposed a timber decking to run from floor level of the inside of the house in order to create a flow from the inside to the outside. We made the outdoor table central to the main French doors so that there was still functional access to the kitchen facilities.”

Blake said that in a space like this the key is to make the most out of the area. “That is why we raised garden beds and bench seating are running parallel on a 45 degree angle to the house to provide a visual feature and by providing different levels to catch the eye. The bench seating also doubles up as storage to keep the space uncluttered.”
